The biggest accomplishment in life is not what you achieve but who you become. We become so fixated on goals related to status and material wealth while ignoring the most important objective, which is realizing our full potential as a person in all aspects: physical, emotional, relational, intellectual, and spiritual.

I have worked with numerous individuals who have accomplished physical and financial goals in athletics and business. However, many of them have destroyed their relationships, health, or integrity in the process. This is not what I would define as success.

Change your focus

Life will give you situations and challenges that are outside of your control at times. The one thing you have power over is choosing your response. Using these events to shape who you become is what will lead to ultimate success and fulfillment.

Don't stay hyper focused on achieving material rewards or solving a particular problem. Develop a perspective of seeing these as secondary goals. Remain oriented to the primary goal of growing into all you are capable of becoming. This will lead to the attainment of your other goals as a byproduct of maxing out your ability.

Achieve your full potential

Begin today to ask yourself how you can utilize your current circumstances to achieve your full potential. Furthermore, develop a vision for who you aspire to be and begin acquiring the skills and knowledge it will take to become that person. You are capable of much more than you are now exhibiting. Take the time and effort to work towards growing into the person you have yet to fully manifest but who exists in there somewhere.

Use every circumstance, problem, and challenge to achieve this goal. Nothing you have ever experienced in your life is wasted when you develop this perspective. You have one life to live. Don't hold back. Grab hold of the ultimate goal of becoming your greatest self.
